• Modern Lighting. Our company has upgraded our lighting to reduce electrical consumption and excess heat generation. We first replaced our fluorescent, high-intensity discharge (HID), and sodium-vapor lamps with energy-efficient T8 fluorescent lamps. We further increased efficiency by upgrading to LED lamps.
• Equipment Repurposing. Hot air that comes from the machines is used to heat the production floor and warehouse during the cold months. That’s why we repurpose our air compressors and chillers to make our new equipment more energy-efficient and reduce energy spikes during production.

Waste

We have made major strides in reducing the environmental impact of our facilities and products. Our ongoing efforts to minimize our landfill-based waste production include leveraging digital processes, launching sustainability programs, and strategic partnerships:

• HP Indigo 6K Digital Press. We use digital printing processes to reduce physical waste. Our HP digital press allows for more accurate printing with shorter set up time. We also produce final products with sustainable inks and substrates.
• Material Take-Back Program. Local customers can return specialty packaging materials from our label application products. We manage the disposal of materials to reuse what we can, ensuring responsible waste management and reducing landfill dependence.
• Specialized Waste Facility. Our production waste goes to a facility that generates energy from waste gases. This partnership reduces our carbon footprint, invests in local energy generation, and promotes a more sustainable future.
